Every day, Roblox players lose accounts and limiteds to "free Robux" scams. They all follow the same few patterns. Learn these seven red flags and you will spot a scam in seconds, whether it is a website, a Discord DM or a video.
1. It asks for your password
No legitimate site needs your Roblox password to give you Robux. A username is enough to know where to send them. A page that asks for your password is trying to take your account.
2. It is a "Robux generator"
Robux cannot be generated by typing your username into a website. Only Roblox creates Robux. Every generator is fake; the "loading" animation is just there to make it look real.
3. "Human verification" before you can claim
Scam sites often say you must complete a few surveys to "verify you are human" before your Robux arrive. They get paid for your surveys, and the Robux never come. Real reward sites credit each completed task to your balance, where you can see it.
4. It asks for a login cookie or a script
If someone asks you to paste something into your browser console, or to send a ".ROBLOSECURITY" value, stop. That hands over your logged-in session, no password needed.
5. The amounts are too good to be true
Thousands of Robux for one click, a follow or a like is not how Robux work. Real rewards reflect real value: advertisers pay for completed tasks, and that is what you get paid from.
6. You have to pay to withdraw
Any site that asks for a fee, a gift card or Robux "to unlock" your balance is a scam. Withdrawing should cost you nothing.
7. Pressure and DMs
Countdown timers, "only 3 spots left", and strangers DMing you about a giveaway are pressure tactics. Real offers do not disappear in 60 seconds, and real staff do not DM you first.
Turn on 2-Step Verification in your Roblox settings. Even if a password leaks, it stops most account takeovers.
